Our talent bank of professional business advisors provide our clients with objective and effective solutions tailored to specific needs and encompassing all business processes. We also have specific expertise within most industry sectors. A key factor in the Experience approach is that all of our consultants must conform to a wide range of key criteria including two that are very specific to the needs of our clients:
- Each member of our talent bank must have a minimum of 25 years business experience with at least 10 years spent at a senior organisational level
- Plus, at least 5 years specific industry experience within the target client’s business sector
We believe that by offering our clients Consultants with a proven track record, together with substantial and relevant experience, we are better placed to provide meaningful and effective advice and a better “value for money” solution compared with other organisations. Many management consultancies today offer their clients business consultants with little real life “hands on” business experience. It is also often the case that consultant profiles are submitted to clients that have no direct industry experience relative to the specific business sector of the client.
Whilst the majority of Experience Consultants have significant academic qualifications, we believe that whilst such credentials can provide a useful “theoretical base” they are no substitute for real “hands on” business experience, and we also believe that although many management processes are transferable across different industry sectors, having significant and specific industry experience facilitates rapid synergy between consultant and client, thereby reducing the “acclimatisation and learning” process period, whilst enhancing the speed of solution delivery, and typically resulting in a reduction in the client’s costs.
Many of the companies hiring consultants straight from University charge daily rates ranging from £2000 for an Assistant Consultant to £6000 per day* for a Consultant Director or Partner.
Not only are these rates well outside most clients budget parameters but they are also based largely on the name of the Consultancy Practice and not necessarily on the experience, relevance and skills of the individual consultants.
At Experience we base our assignment fees on the nature of the work that we carry out for our clients and not purely on a standard daily rate per consultant, resulting in daily rates that are highly competitive compared to other companies. This means that our clients pay a realistic and fair price for the work carried out, rather than the “standard industry rates” quoted and charged by some other consultancy firms.
So it’s not always true that “Experience comes at a high price!” For our clients, Experience comes with a fair price!
